The sights we visited were amazing, especially the Temple of Apollo and Acrocorinth and they are certainly worth leaving Athens for half a day to go and visit. They’re significantly less crowded than the main sights in Athens. I would highly recommend LS Tours and especially our driver, Panos to anybody.

As we drove the 2 hour ride to Delphi, he talked about Greece and its history, gave us a sense of life in the areas we were driving through, and also kept us interested with discussions about Greek politics (we like that kind of stuff!) At Delphi he took care to explain what we would see and to make sure we were prepared for the very hot day. Following our time at the Delphi sites, including the museum, we stopped for lunch at Taverna Vakhos in Delphi village. Food was excellent, very friendly staff, and homestyle presentation. This was a great capstone to the visit. On the return trip Alex asked questions about US politics and other things - one of us is a political science professor so this wasn't odd. We were impressed at how great our conversation was, which made the drive back go by quickly even as we arrived back to Athens into a bit of a traffic jam.
